It is our mandate that evangelism is not over until the discipleship training is completed. In 2009 we anticipate reaching over 15.000 people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our experience leads us to believe that we will teach some 1,500 people with this advanced discipleship program. Mercy Gospel Ministry is experiencing incredible growth and the opportunities to saturate a community for Christ is overwhelming to our current financial situation. There are a number of needs we would like to bring to your attention for your prayer and consideration.
Immediate Need
Help purchase the necessary equipment needed to show the "Jesus" film to the communities we are striving to reach with the Gospel of our Lord. Total cost of this equipment is $4200.00.

Support the Academically Gifted Program - Help educate the children of East Africa. There are so many children who have the academic ability to achieve a university degree but due to economic circumstances will never make it through high school. Help further a child's education by giving a tuition gift of $1, 100/year.
Medical
Immunization Program - For $3,000 a year an entire community can receive the appropriate immunizations and care they need in order to treat preventable illnesses.
Technology
Desktop Computers - Help provide 12 desktop computers for a new secondary school. This will give the students an opportunity to learn from current technology and also prepare them for the university experience. Gift: $1,400 each
Satellite Dish and Connections
With a gift of $3,500 a community receives the current technology which connects the schools, MGM training center, hostel to the internet and thus to the world.
Transportation
School Van - There is an immediate need for a school van. This van will be used to transport students, sick patients and staff. The purchase of this used van would be a major help. Gift: $21,000
Evangelism
- Evangelistic Flip Charts - These charts are provided to Bible students as they complete their discipleship class. This tool allows the student to share the Gospel in a simple way and in their own language. Gift: $25.00
- Evangelistic Tracts - A case of 5,000 Gospel tracts may be purchased with a gift of $350.00.
- Sponsor an Evangelistic Project in your church or family's name. We need five sponsors for the planting of 25 new believing communities. Each sponsor would be responsible for a $450.00 commitment. Thousands will be reached for Christ based on these funded programs.
- Prison Ministry - There are 93 prisons in Kenya which MGM and the Christian Community Church of Kenya are dedicated to support. The goal is to establish Bible Studies and to communicate the life changing opportunities that knowing Jesus Christ brings. A gift of $700.00 per year/per prison will help bring the those confined.
- Great Commission Fund - These funds help the ~ staff and associating church leaders take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into a lost community. Monies go towards transportation, tracts, Bibles, discipleship tools and the expenses associated with showing the Jesus film. It has been averaged that a gift of $500.00 can reach and disciple approximately 1500 people. That's a cost of .33 per profession of faith
Agricultural
- Fresh Water Wells - For a gift of $22,000 you will provide the means to drill a well with solar powered pumps. Each well is placed near a church and thus the area becomes a source of both physical and spiritual nourishment.
- Farm Animals - Assist the local farmers of~ by providing micro loans to purchase farms animals that are used to help sustain the family. Gift: $100
- Farm Tractors - There is an urgent need for tractors to help farm areas of 100 plus acres. Gift: $22,000
5. Construction
Provide Temporary Church Structures - Newly formed congregations often meet under a tree or in an open field. For a gift of $800 you can provide a church with a galvanized roof and truss materials MGM oversees the construction of each project
Build slum village Church - Help MGM construct permanent Slums of Nairobi village churches in the An average church cost $8,500 to build and will serve hundreds for generations
Build a Medical Facility - $10,000 will build a medical facility that will treat the 1000+ children who attend the slum schools. The medical clinic will also help care for the day to day illnesses of the local villagers in the slum community
Kisii District Churches - Consider providing funds to build a permanent district church that will be a training point for new e1ders of a district. The facility will also be used as a community center for extensive community outreach. Gift: $26,000.
Build a Secondary School - Fund the construction of a individual building on the campus of a Kisii secondary school for $150,000 or pledge $1,000,000 to complete the school in its entirety according to the master plan.
Discipleship
Elders Training Materials - Elders receive materials for five book studies; Romans, 1 Corinthians, Ephesians, Galatians, and Evangelism. A five week study for serious students of the Bible. Gift: $40.00 per elder
New Believers Books - This new believer book is an eight course program designed to help understand who we are in Christ. Train 100 new believers for $50.00.
CD Players - Purchase a cd player for a new church. This enables the churches to use various discipleship cds within their Sunday school classes. Gift: $55 each
Bibles - A $200 gift will help to purchase Bibles for one new church congregation. Consider to help share the word of God by your special gift of $200.

PENDING PROPOSALS
Due to financial status we are unable to construct the 15 remaining churches; we still want to construct an orphanage home. We feel we are not giving enough as the needy people are increasing and the resources of getting the finance is not enough.
