Mission:
The Ministry’s mission is to reach every person both in urban and rural areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Evangelism, seminars, Conferences, Outreaches and Church planting. We are also set to address and create awareness of HIV/AIDS among these people with programs that support the infected and affected people, orphans widows and widowers
VISION
Our vision is to be an effective Christian Ministry in the proclaiming of the Gospel of salvation to all transforming the young and old into becoming followers of Christ.
Process and Objective
The Ministry exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with indigenous people, while building self – sustaining village communities to change hearts, educate minds that will ultimately change nations
We are committed to 3 specific objectives:
-
Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through
-
Evangelizing
We coordinate “ hut to hut” Evangelist projects where our ministry staff and volunteers share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Nationals through interpreters. Over the last two years we have seen thousands of individuals make professions of faith.
-
Discipling
Our Evangelist projects are followed by immediate identification of potential lay church leaders. Five week long Discipleship seminars are provided which equips the participants so that they may go back and disciple their individual congregations. This program of discipleship has had a phenomenal impact on influencing local congregations.
-
Organizing
We facilitate the Assembly of worshipping believers and introduce Bible Studies at Bible Resources. Most of the time these early churches meet under a tree and as they continue to grow a temporary church is constructed. Over a time, a permanent church structure will take the place of the temporary church. This is typically a three year process
-
Theological Education
We facilitate the partnership between the local indigenous church and the theological academic community, through our efforts we’ve established a theological training institute by name “ The Urban Ministry Institute – TUMI, Kenya” which helps meet the Theological needs of the community.
In addition, we coordinate, assemble and distribute theological materials ranging from printed discipleship workbooks and quarterlies, evangelist tools to extensive theological publications. Our intent to provide theological education is for the primary purpose of enhancing the maturing process that any correct exposure to the Word of God will bring.
-
Nurturing Communities
How can we as Christian community influence a dying and hungry generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ if we are not willing to infuse a hurting people with Love and compassion?
Our Ministry is actively involved in identifying opportunities to reach out to orphaned and widows/widowers, those who are suffering from childhood diseases and those ravaged by HIV/AIDs and Ethnic clashes/war. The need is overwhelming and this global Epidemic is growing yet we must make every effort to give even the most helpless a since of hope. Not a hope in us but in our Lord who gives a hope of eternal life demonstrated through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ on cross at Calvary.
